Rheumatology Services
Republic County Hospital is proud to host a rheumatology outpatient clinic with Dr. Ken Baxa every Friday.
A Rheumatologist is an internist who has received advanced training in diagnosing and non-surgically treating what are called rheumatic diseases. These diseases can affect the joints, muscles, and bones. Symptoms include joint pain, stiffness, swelling, and deformity.
Because permanent damage can occur over time if not treated properly, it's vital to be evaluated as soon as possible when you begin having symptoms. Early diagnosis and proper treatment by a Rheumatologist can make a big difference in your health and quality of life.
